On Wednesday, we woke up at about 3 am, were in a cab by 4, and on the plane by 6am! We flew to New Orleans, rented a car and drove to Lafayette- what a day! Here's a picture of us on the plane- it was Mick's first plane ride (he slept through most of it)! |

And the vacation fairy came!
On Thursday, we woke up bright and early and spent the day house hunting in Baton Rouge. Sara stayed with Amie and Paw-Paw for the day, but Mick tagged along. For lunch, we took Mick to The Chimes for the first (but not last) time! Doesn't it look like he is having fun?

When we got back to Lafayette, we tested out the BOB at Rhythms on the River- looks like a hit!

On Friday, we headed BACK to Baton Rouge to take care of some more house business and to visit everyone! Mick got to meet his Nanny!

On Saturday morning, Kasie and I ran a 5K- it was Kasie's first and she did a GREAT job- she'll be running marathons in no time :)

Then we spent the day at the Kosik's! Jennifer, Peter, and JP drove Friday night to surpise us and we were very happy to see them!!! It is so wonderful to know that we will get to see everyone so much more often :) Saturday was so much fun- we just sat around and watched the kids play! I am looking forward to more of that!!!

And we got to visit with the Bennett's!!! It was so great to see them- I just can't believe how big Jackson is!! He will be crawling soon I think- he is growing up so quickly. Again, I am so glad that we'll be closer so we can see more of him! Look at these two cuties:

At the end of the day, Kasie gave Sara and JP a well needed scrub down (I have to admit, I took this picture and then left- Aunt Connie, Kasie, and Allison seemed to have bathtime under control!)

What a week! We are so happy to be back in Louisiana and we can't wait to get into our house! YAY!
