July 29-30: Thursday and Friday!

On Thursday we went to Splash Day in River Ranch! It was HOT!! But the kids had a blast ;) Next time I am wearing my swim suit too!

Friday evening we had dinner with some of Mike's colleagues. They didn't have any toys, but the kids managed to find some Mardi Grad beads :)

July 26: Mommy & Me at the mall (& Daddy!)

July 10: Sara's Trip!

Sara went with the Aunt Connie, Uncle Ken, and JP to New Orleans a few weekends ago to meet up with Jennifer and Peter. She had a blast! Here is Jennifer's post about the trip. Sara is still talking about that monkey ride :) Thanks everyone for a fun trip!!

July 24: City Club!

On Saturday, Paw-Paw took up swimming at City Club. It was a blast!! The kids love the slide. Mick would climb up and sit down on the slide, but he wouldn't go down by himself. So I ended up going down the slide a million times :)

Daddy surprised us by coming home early and met up with us at City Club! The kids were so happy to see him :)

July 23- Children's Museum!

On Friday, I took the kids to the Children's Museum of Acadiana- we had a great time :)
I thought it was so funny that Mick knew exactly what to do at the grocery store. He grabbed a carton of milk, threw it in his buggy and started shopping :)


Sara was a little more selective with her shopping, and picked out things that she knew she would like.

Sara was really good at checking out! I guess practice makes perfect :)

We had lots of fun at the restaurant!

Sara prepared food for herself, me, and Mick! She got the hot dog in a bun (her new favorite!), Mick got pie, and I got spaghetti.

Mick really enjoyed driving the ambulance!

Of course they both loved the bubble exhibit! After we left this exhibit, Mick would look at me and blow to tell me that he wanted to go back to the bubbles! He is so funny!

On the way home, we stopped for sno-balls- YUM!

July 19-22: Another Fun Week :)

By Monday night, Sara was feeling a little better and she and Mick had fun playing:




Mick loves to go outside! Its the first thing he wants to do when he wakes up! On Tuesday morning, Sara slept late so Mick and I went outside to blow bubbles- another one of his favorite things! He's actually pretty good at it :)
A special thanks to Aunt Connie and Jennifer for helping me with the kids on Tuesday. It was a crazy day- I had a doctor's appointment, we got some windows replaced, and Mike was out of town! And another special thanks to Hanna for watching the kids Tuesday night while I went to the Brouillette's to celebrate Amy's birthday! Crazy day!



On Wednesday, Jennifer and I took Sara, JP, and Mick to the splash park in Gonzales. The kids had a blast!!

JP and Sara couldn't eat enough watermelon (and me- it was so refreshing on a HOT day!)
We went to the Feinberg's for pizza Wednesday evening, but I was too tired to take any pictures. The kids did have a great time :) Thanks for dinner Feinbergs :)
On Thursday we went to Lafayette for me to teach. Here's a picture of Mick trying to go outside:

July 17: Kristin's shower

On Saturday, we played around in the morning and then went to Alexandria for Aunt Kristin's shower.

Mick loved to stand at the back door and look at the dogs. Dog is one of his favorite words! (Sorry there aren't any pictures of Sara- but she was a little under the weather)

July 12-16

We had a great week! On Monday we took Sara to get her hair cut and Mick loved the train table :)


Then we met up with Jennifer, Peter, and JP at the mall for "Mommy & Me" Sara got this pink sword.

Mick is the perfect size for the mall playground! He LOVES it :)

We also swam in our backyard. (Its so hot... I am going to have to get in with them next time..)

Everytime Mick went down the slide he waved "bye-bye" to me :) So sweet!

This is Sara as "stretch girl" She had been pretending to be Elasta-girl from the Incredibles but I guess she decided to make up her own character. I love the socks!!!

Mick wanted his picture taken too but apparently not with his sister :)
