December 31: Welcome 2011!

We've had another great year! We really have so much to be thankful for. First and foremost, the health of our three beautiful children. I really can't thank God enough for them. Mike and I love that we are able to spend so much time with them as they grow. I know soon enough they will want nothing to do with us so I am going to enjoy every precious second!
I am looking forward to all that 2011 will bring: Sara will start pre-k, Mick will start preschool, my baby Peter will turn one, and we will have a new niece or nephew. Mike and I will celebrate 9 years of marriage and we will try to continue to enjoy the precious moments with each other and our wonderful children.
We hope that you had a wonderful 2010 and an even better 2011! We love you :)

December 30: New Orleans Aquarium

Nonna and Baba came to visit on Wednesday and on Thursday, they took the kids to the Aquarium in New Orleans. They sure had fun!! Thanks Nonna and Baba :)

The kids enjoyed seeing all the fish!
















After the aquarium, they strolled around New Orleans a little bit!







Of course, Mick loved the boats!







When they were dicussing whether or not to get beignets, Sara said "that's what Tiana makes!" I guess that settled it- they were getting beignets :)



Apparently Mick wouldn't eat any. Silly boy!






Then they rode the streetcar back! They passed a real train while in the streetcar. How exciting!

When they got home, we played some more :) Peter sure was glad to see his brother and sister!



Peter tried out the swing. Mick wasn't too exctied about that!





Baba and Sara played Santa and took turns giving each other presents :) Baba asked for a pony and Sara brought him a "My Little Pony" I don't think that is what he had in mind!

Since Peter has entered the teething phase, Sara helped him by holding his teether. She is so sweet!

December 26-28: Hanging out!

Since Christmas, we've been hanging out at home. The kids have enjoyed watching their new movies. Sara really likes Ramona and Beezus. I guess I'll have to read it to her- I loved those books when I was a kid :)


We got some "yard art" at the after Christmas sale. Of course, we had to set it up! Please ignore the kids in pjs with their rain boots.



Peter is getting SO big! He got a tooth on Tuesday and is always trying to get everything into his mouth!

December 25: More Christmas!

After we played with all the new toys, we headed to Amie and Paw-Paw's. When we got their Sara decided that her Parrain should open his present right away (I think she was hoping that she would get to open her's but she didn't!)
