A Pink Texas Trip!

This past weekend we went to Texas to see Nonna, Baba, Nanny, Uncle Timmy, and Jackson. It was so much fun! Nonna and Sara learned all about the letter "P" and the color pink!

They iced a pink cake:

More fun!

We've been having lots of fun in Louisiana! Sara was so excited to see Uncle Nathan and Jewel! Mainly because Uncle Nathan held her upside down!

Trip to Louisiana!

Sara and I flew to Louisiana to visit our family! Sara has flown once before but she was only about 8 months old. She was so excited to ride on the airplane (until she rode on the airplane...)

Checking out the airplane info:

Watching the TV (the headphones lasted about 5 seconds!) She was perfectly happy until we took off.  I tried to show her all the boats in the water, but she wasn't interested and wanted to "go home!" Eventually she feel asleep and then she ate a lot of not-so-healthy snacks to stay happy!

Sara has had a lot of fun at Amie and Paw-paw's house so far! She loves all the Santas (or as she calls them Ho-Hos)

And she doesn't have a problem finding someone to read to her :)

We're having a great time, but we sure do miss Daddy!

Saturday!

After we got Sara's haircut fixed (which explains the super short bangs... they'll grow out, right?) we went to a Touch the Trucks event. Sara loved the school bus and practiced driving it:

We also got to check out a snow plow:

And she turned on the wipers!

Sara checked out the ambulance:

But wasn't too impressed with the fire truck

But she liked the street cleaner!

Later on we went for yummy hamburgers and Sara tested out a saddle in preparation for our upcoming trip to Houston!

Friday!

Sara started the day by bringing Curious George to the gym

After a (rather bad) haircut, we went to Kidspace and Sara practiced her basketball skills!

Today!

In an effort to post more often, I have some pictures from our day!

Sara and I went to the Leaves Day at the Parents Network organized by some local middle schoolers. She was less interested in the leaf activities and more interested in the babies and being silly (shocking, I know) I tried to get her in the spirit with her leaf pants, but no luck!

Tonight Sara played with her blocks!

Kidspace

Ok, so yesterday (Monday) the sun was out for the first time in what seems like weeks (probably more like a few days) so I thought Sara and I could spend some time at the playground even though it was a little chilly. We bundled up and walked over!  The playground time ended shortly after when Sara asked for her mittens! Instead we hopped in the car and went to Kidspace (I guess that's why its there... its too cold outside!)

Buzz Lightyear rigged up Sara's car to his firetruck:

And Sara found all the babies:

And here she is "working" as she told me... wonder who she gets that from!
