October 30: Nathan and Kristin get married!!!!

On Saturday, Uncle Nathan and Aunt Kristin got married (finally!) It was a great day and we had a blast (except when all our kids were crying during pictures...) Thanks so much to everyone who helped us with Peter (especially Uncle Wes!) And CONGRATS NATHAN AND KRISTIN!
Sara was a beautiful flower girl! She was so excited until she saw all the people staring at her when she was walking down the aisle. Mike had to walk with her and she wouldn't go onto the altar. That's ok- I know its intimidating!

OK, so I didn't take a lot of pictures, but here are the ones I did!
Here's Nathan and Father Steve:

Here's Kristin dancing with all the kids! Isn't she beautiful?

Sara and Mick had a blast with their cousins!!!

OK, so with my wonderful videography skills I didn't get Nathan and Kristin dancing, but I did get the kids running around!
It was a beautiful wedding and I couldn't be happier to have such a great sister in law :)

October 28: Zoo

Today I took the kids to the zoo and we had a great time! The weather finally cooled down some and we really enjoyed spending the day together! Mick loved seeing the tigers!
Until this one walked right at him (it only stopped when it ran into the glass wall!) He didn't like it so much after that!

The kids laughing at the bird blocking our exit!

Here it is!

Peter's first trip to the zoo!

Don't think anyone else will fit in the Bob!

And of course, we had a blast on the playground!

Here's Super Girl! She's so creative right now! I love how she is always playing pretend and making up songs and stories! She's so funny!

I think Mick had fun riding the train or "choo-choo" He definitely wanted to! He is just so serious about it. He never smiled the whole time. But when I asked him if he had fun at the zoo, all he does is say "choo-choo" so we'll take that as a yes! Here he is on the train:

Hope you had a great day too! Uncle and Aunt Kristin are getting married this weekend!!!!! Can't wait :) Love ya!

October 26-27: Fun Days!

Let's see- we've had a great week! Tuesday Sara tried out her Halloween dress from Nonna. Unfortunately, with the high temps and humidity we were having, it was just too hot. Sara does love the dress though :)

We were having a bit of a rough day on Tuesday, so we escaped to City Park for some play time. It was great ;)
Mick loves to swing and he is getting so big- he can climb up this ladder without any help (causing me to have a heart attack...)

On Wednesday night, Aunt Connie watched Peter for me (thanks so much!) and I took Sara and Mick trick-or-treating on sorority row. They did a great job- every house had lots of candy and they each had fun activities!

Mick and the cookie he "decorated" He covered it in icing and then licked it off!

We played in a bounce house for awhile:

Sara got her face painted!

We blew bubbles!

Met Snow White! (Mick wouldn't get in this picture. We also tried to get a picture with Mike the Tiger- dressed as Batman! but I wasn't fighting all the other crazy people trying to do the same thing!)

We took a little break to check out our candy! Mick wasn't too sure about trick-or-treating. Once he realized he got candy, he was all about it. Everytime he saw anyone (kid, adult, sorority girl) with a full bucket he would yell "MINE" and try to take candy. I don't know what I am going to do with him!
Mick trying to eat candy with the wrapper on:

Dumping out his candy:

Sara got her face painted again!

Mick pointing out the moon! He loves to find it (and he's really good at it!)

Eating their one candy for the night! It was SO hot! Sara asked to take off her costume and she was drenched in sweat! Poor girl! You would think someone would design costumes for those of us with 90 degree Halloweens! Oh, and Mick wouldn't wear the cowboy hat, so I borrowed some costumes from a friend- two were fleece and the other was a firemen's jacket he wouldn't wear. So we ended up with the football jersey on. Oh well. He didn't really care. He loved seeing all the costumes though and cracked up at a kid dressed as a dog! It was really funny :)

October 23: Where'd it go?

This is Mick's favorite game- he hides something, asks me "where'd it go?" and when I say I don't know, he saves the day by finding it! He's so cute! Here he is hiding the cars under the cushion- and he is particular about where they go under the cushion- so funny!

October 24:Pumpkin Patch

Today we went to the Pumpkin Patch :) It was a great day to pick out a pumpkin- we can't wait to decorate them :)

Sara likes to pick out ones with "bumps" This is the third year running...

You can only imagine how easy this is...

Silly Mick

October 23: Nora's Baptism

Saturday was Nora's baptism. I was so sad that the boys and I missed it, but I didn't really want to test Peter- his ability to cry for long periods is amazing! Anyway, Mike was the baptism was wonderful and Nora looked SO cute! It looks like we missed a great time!

Meanwhile, the boys and I drove to Lafayette for the day! They had a ton of fun playing!

When we got home, the kids modeled their Halloween pjs :)

October 19-22

On Tuesday afternoon, Sara's soccer team took some pictures. We opted to not do the professional ones since they cost a fortune. We just took some ourselves :)

Soccer Sara

The Purple team:

Although there are a few games left this year, Sara won't be there (with baptisms and weddings we can't make them!). She's enjoyed playing soccer and at her last game, I could see real improvement. She has definitely come a long way. I think we might try it again in the spring :)

My kiddos:

Peter seems to have really turned a corner (knock on wood). I was a little nervous about how long we'd have a colicy baby, but he seems to have outgrown it. He doesn't cry uncontrollably anymore and its so nice to be able to comfort him. Peter's even been sleeping in his crib in Mick's room (I guess its Mick and Peter's room now). Maybe he just wanted to be closer to his brother! Hopefully he'll start sleeping all night soon (yeah right!)
He is starting to notice his surroundings and he loves his big sister and brother. Mick is so cute- he'll walk up to Peter and rub him with his head (that is how he kisses- he leans in for you to kiss him). Sara, of course, loves the baby and always wants to hold him. Peter isn't a huge fan of that, but he loves to watch Sara play!

On Thursday we went to the farmer's market for a little while and the kids got a petit four- yum! Sara was so excited to go to the farmer's market but once she saw what it was, she was ready to go!

Later on, we met Anna for lunch- Sara was so excited to see her and they had a blast!

On Friday, Mike and Sara went to Texas for baby Nora's baptism, but the boys and I stayed behind (listening to Peter cry there and back didn't sound like a ton of fun!) So I took the boys to the park. Mick had a blast and it was fun to be able to focus on him!

Of course, Peter had fun too!

Smiley Peter:

We sure do miss Daddy and Sara but we can't wait to hear all about the baptism!! We love you Nora!!!
