Mick is constantly babbling now. One of my favorite things is when he babbles in the car. Sometimes he even cracks himself up. Here is a video of him babbling while we're waiting to pick Sara up from dance.
Parrain brought Sara a princess piano (as Sara calls the keyboard) which she really likes, but she was really more concerned with opening this turtle for Mick. She really loves her baby brother and tries hard to take care of him. I can only hope she'll be so sweet when she's about 16 or so!
Hope y'all are doing well! We're heading to Lafayette tomorrow for Kendra's wedding this weekend (YAY!) so I'll try to update when I can. Let's all hope Sara will be a good flower girl...
We sure had fun seeing everyone! Thanks Aunt Connie and Uncle Ken for having us over :) And thanks Aunt Connie, Jen, and Maw-Maw for helping with the kids. It was a great weekend!
Sara loves to play with her castle and doll house. She particularly likes for all the people to go in and out the door and in and out and in and out...
Later on we went over to Aunt Connie's to visit with Maw-maw and Papa and Annabelle and JP and their parents and Allison and Hanna and Bruce and the Brouillette's and Amie and Paw-Paw and Nathan and Kristin. It was fun!! I didn't take too many pictures, but here are some:
Can you believe that Mick is already 5 months old?!? Its just crazy to think so much time has passed since he was born. Of course, a lot has changed for us it that 5 months :) He is so big and rolling all over the place. He is trying to get up on his knees and can pretty much get himself anywhere in the room. He has 2 teeth on the bottom (the bottom right and the one next to it) and is growing like a worm! We sure do love him and I can barely remember what our lives were like without him.
He is also really good at getting things into his mouth (as are all babies...)
I often catch Mick talking to himself in his mirror when he wakes up. I thought that I would be sneaky and get it on video... of course he wasn't doing it!! He cracks me up because sometimes I'll go into his room and he'll be at the other end of his crib and 180 degrees from where I layed him down. This morning I went into his room and his pacifier was on the floor! Crazy boy :)
Sara said Mick wanted to watch a movie... looks like it to me! He's probably tired of princess movies...
This was the first thing she's done that we couldn't watch. It about broke my heart. She says she liked her class and her favorite thing was marching (I am assuming in her tap shoes!) She also really enjoyed the post-class Tootsie Roll!
On Wedensday Mike watched the kids and I ran around with Kendra getting ready for the wedding. I can't believe it almost time for their wedding! It was nice to have a day away from the kids!
This is one of my favorite Mick faces- its his cheesy smile. I call it his "turtle face" because it reminds me of a turtle! What do you think?
Sara is taking a dance class. On Tuesday we went to get her clothes and shoes and she just loves them!! She especially LOVES her tap shoes- we let her try them on when we got home, but I have since had to hide it all in her closet...
